At Peninsula, our mission is to make disciples who make disciples. We believe the way we will accomplish this mission is through living biblical truth, building solid homes, and impacting our community and world for Christ. For Peninsula to accomplish this mission, it will take more than a few leaders, it will take the whole church.

It is our desire to help each person at Peninsula find their place to serve so that we can work together to see disciples made. Listed below, are a few of the ways you can serve at Peninsula. Our hope is we match your gifting and passion with one of our ministry areas. We are excited to join the frontline together to see the mission of Peninsula advance in our community.

 VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM.

  • Connections Ministry

    Guest Services Team

Our Guest Services team has two primary responsibilities: greeting and first time guests. This team provides a welcoming atmosphere for everyone that walks through the doors at Peninsula and helps guest navigate their first time on campus.

    Starting Point Team

Starting Point is hosted at least six times in a year and is intended to help those new to Peninsula get connected to groups, ministries, serving opportunities, and it serves as our membership process. This team primarily assists our Connections Pastor in hosting Starting Point.

    Ushers

An extension of our guest services team, our ushers primary roles are greeting at the worship center doors and seating during the worship service.

    Parking Team

Our parking team assists in finding parking spaces and greeting as people arrive on campus.

    Connect Group Leader

Connect Groups are the foundation for discipleship groups at Peninsula. Groups are held on campus on Sunday mornings and meet year-round.

  • Kids Ministry

    Sunday Morning Kids & Preschool

Each week our kids meet in large and small groups on Sunday mornings. Our kids team consists of those serving with our check-in-team, leading a class, and assisting a class. Additionally, some serve during the week to assist in prepping the materials and supplies. Preschool includes birth - Pre-K age classes and Elementary includes Kindergarten - 5th grade classes.

  • Youth Ministry

    Sunday Morning Live

Our Sunday Morning Live team serves our 6th - 12th grade students during the 9:00am and 10:15am worship hours. This team helps with games, snacks, oversee media, and invest in the students.

    Small Group Leader

From September through May our youth meet in small groups on Sunday evenings. Youth spend time together and then break into groups based on grade and gender.

    Summer Bible Studies

Our youth ministry typical offers bible studies through the summer. This role provides an opportunity to invest in our youth throughout their summer break.

    Special Events

Throughout the year there are special events, day trips, and mission trips that need adult leaders and chaperones.

  • Worship Ministry

    Worship Team

The worship team at Peninsula is a fun, challenging, and rewarding ministry. If God has gifted you with musical or technical talent, we want you to be able to use it for His glory! This is a somewhat complex ministry with many moving parts. So for your advantage, and that of the worship ministry as a whole, there is a short process to become a regularly scheduled member of the Worship/Tech team. Areas include vocals, band, and media.

  • Mission/Care Ministry

    Short Term Mission Teams

Throughout the year Peninsula sends short term missions teams. These teams have been to serve through disaster relief, to serve alongside a North American church plant, or to partner with an international missionary.

    Care

Our care ministry seeks to impact our community through demonstrating the love of Jesus. The Care Ministry does not meet on a regular basis but instead is a group of volunteers ready to meet needs as they arise.

    Senior Adults

We have a thriving Senior Adult Ministry. From helping with monthly meetings, delivering meals, taking seniors to doctor appointments, and even just being a friend to someone who may need to talk, there are so many ways to be involved.

    Orphan Care Ministry

We believe it is our calling to help care for orphans in our community and the world. There is a place for every Peninsula family to actively care for orphans or to support adoptive and foster families. You may feel called to foster care, adoption, or providing supplies and funds for those who are.
