We are excited this year to have Dr. Richard Blackaby as our guest speaker during our Fall Leadership Summit. Dr. Blackaby recently stepped down as the president of the Canadian Baptist Seminary to join his father, Dr. Henry Blackaby in his work with Blackaby Ministries International. He has also authored and co-authored several books with his father. The Leadership Summit will be based on one of these books entitled Spiritual Leadership. This dynamic resource gives the essentials of being a spiritual leader in your church, workplace, or home.
The Fall Leadership Summit is for *every* person at Peninsula
who serves in a leadership role or potential leaders
who would like to be better equipped to serve.
Dr. Blackaby’s teaching will focus on how God develops, guides, and empowers spiritual leaders. The Leadership Summit will begin at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 11, 2010 here at the church and conclude at noon. Light refreshments will be served at 8:30 am. Because of the pace of life today, if you are not intentional about your faith it will be pushed to the fringe of your life. Sadly, you will have neglected the very thing that gives you the strength to live a meaningful life---your relationship with Christ. On August 29th Peninsula began 120 Days of Intentionality---GOT TIME FOR TRUTH? This emphasis will focus on the Word of God. As a church family we are listening to the entire New Testament and studying in depth one book---Ephesians. We are excited about this special emphasis on the precious Word of God!
