How can we help?

The devastation from hurricane Helene has affected so many of our neighbors.

As Peninsula continues to respond to meet the needs in our state, we are providing lists

of opportunities to join in relief efforts in Western NC here.

Our first response should always be prayer. It's hard to imagine a catastrophe of this proportion. Please lift up those who are living through it as well as those deployed to help. The need is great, our God is greater.

Give Money HERE

Designated gifts will go directly to Baptists On Mission who have boots on the ground to assist with relief efforts.  As of October 7 we have collected over $57,000.

Donate Items:

At this time, we are hearing that many, if not most, of our sites are being inundated with supplies. (Praise the Lord!) This will be a long term need, so please be mindful as we seek to send supplies that are most needed to where they can be adequately handled.

  • Hygiene items
  • Baby products (diapers, wipes, formula)
  • Cleaning supplies (shovels, mops, paper towels, Clorox wipes, trash bags, etc.)
  • Canned food, can openers
  • Paper Plates, Paper Bowls, Spoons, Forks, etc.

*We are NOT accepting CLOTHING at this time. There is not infrastructure to store and distribute these items yet.

Items may be brought to the trailer or left close to the office entrance. (we are loading items several times a day)

Opportunities to Go

There will be many ways to serve over the next weeks, months, and beyond. Below are the most current ways Peninsula is recommending as ways to go.

Option 1: Sign-up to serve with Baptists On Mission. If you are interested in serving in flood recovery, chainsaw, temporary roof repair, or general clean-up efforts, this organization is arranging efforts in multiple locations. Once you sign up, Baptist On Mission will contact you directly.

Option 2: We
are filling requests for small short term teams to go as churches can handle volunteers. If you'd like to be on the short term list, contact Adam Moore.
