Date Night Questions

We are so thankful you attended our Marriage Event.  Please use this discussion guide to promote conversation and connection with your spouse during your date.

1. Share with your spouse a time in the recent past where you felt connected and appreciated by him or her.
2. Pastor Daniel shared that “Everyone operates from a place of insecurity at some level.”
When do you feel the most insecure?
How do you respond to insecurity to protect yourself?
3. In Act 2, Pastor Daniel shared that abiding in Christ and communing with one another spiritually are the first two steps to moving closer to your spouse.
Share with your spouse an experience you have had abiding in
Christ in this week.
4. Initiating breaks down distance in a marriage, and cultivating keeps distance from coming back. Share with you spouse a time when you felt them move closer to you emotionally.
5. When God redeems our story, insecurity can be an opportunity for closeness. Discuss with your spouse a time when you experienced God’s grace in a way that overcame your insecurity and helped you move toward them.
6. Close out your date by setting a time for your next date and praying together.
