Word Ministry Engagement

What does it truly mean to be engaged in word ministry? Acts 18 invites us into a profound exploration of three distinct groups surrounding the gospel message: participants, recipients, and opponents. We discover that word ministry isn't reserved for those standing behind pulpits—it encompasses every level of engagement with God's truth, from informal conversations that weave Scripture into daily life, to teaching classes, to formal preaching. The beauty of this passage lies in recognizing that Paul's extraordinary ministry wouldn't have been possible without Aquila and Priscilla offering hospitality, or Silas and Timothy providing support. God uses tent makers and household providers just as powerfully as He uses apostles. Whether we're young couples just starting out or seasoned saints in our later years, we're all called to participate in singing the glories of the gospel. Every contribution to word ministry, no matter how behind-the-scenes, carries eternal weight.
